The
Thornbury Centre was built with an eye to providing top of the range
training facilities. A computer suite and five comfortable multi-purpose
rooms complement the two conference halls to create a venue able
to meet a wide variety of training requirements.
All five training
rooms have an emphasis on practicality and comfort. Adaptable configurations
ensure that we are able to create the right environment for your
particular needs.
The
Court Room
Under the Centre’s impressive curved wood ceiling the Court Room
is a bright and comfortable space ideal for a large conference table
layout or multiple rows of chairs.

The
Russell Room
The Russell Room is ideal for large group or multiple small group
sessions. The tables and chairs can be arranged in a variety of
compositions for maximum flexibility. Picture windows look out onto
the hall and the centre’s central plaza.

The
Leavesly Room
This comfortable room, furnished with a boardroom style table is
ideal for round-table training and presentations. A feature is the
floor to ceiling picture window which offers a birds eye view into
the St. Margaret’s Hall.

The
Hackwood Room
The light and airy Hackwood Room is adaptable to a range of training
layouts. As with all rooms in the Thornbury Centre, the space makes
the most of natural light but is also fitted with blinds to assist
with computer and slide projection.

The
Michael Rear Room
The Thornbury Centre’s sweeping architecture belies the fact that
the building actually houses four floors. Sharing the lower level
with the café and library is the Michael Rear room. This multi-purpose
room is furnished with moveable chairs and tables.

The Centre’s
two Conference Halls offer a choice for larger events. They are:
The St. Margaret’s Hall
— a comfortable 200 seat auditorium with stunning architectural
features.
The John Day Hall
—a spacious multi-purpose hall which can seat up to 120 people.
The Computer
Suite is equipped with 15 PCs running the latest versions of industry
standard software and internet access. The suite is available with
very favourable rates for evening and weekend bookings.
Equipment
and Support
Facilities available
for use in all rooms include Digital PC and Video Projector, PC
with internet access, slide and overhead projectors, flip charts,
marker boards and stationery consumables.
Both halls also have a professional quality PA sound system, lectern
and are fitted with a hearing aid loop system.
A Reception and ‘Meet and Greet’ service will be available for your
event. Your own personal event co-ordinator is able to see your
event through from booking and administration to resource support
on the day.
The Thornbury Centre also offers a wide range of catering solutions
including hot and cold buffets and a quality café open throughout
the day.
